CF7 form sends emails from "fake" email submissions but not Gmail or Yahoo

I’ve been going round and round with this all day trying to figure out why sometimes my test submissions through CF7 work, and other times not.
The email address I have set up to receive the notifications is a Gmail.
Whenever I use a Gmail email address when I test submit the form, nothing comes through (same with Yahoo, but Hotmail and Outlook worked).
When I use a fake gibberish email like [email protected] it works every time.
Anyone run into this?
