Get 'Real' Post ID

    Do you mean the post ID on the source blog or the post ID on the tags blog?

    From the source blog.

    I am aware that the tags blog assigns a new post ID to each post by order, but that isn’t really the ‘real’/’original’ post ID of the actual post. So yeah, I am wondering if there’s a way to get the actual post ID.

    The post ID can be viewed on the url or from the permalink, but I don’t want to use either of those if possible. :/

    The post guid field contains the source blog_id.post_id.

    What do you mean by that? Can you tell me where to find that guid or how to echo it?

    Look at the structure of your posts table in the database.
