I’ve read some posts with the same problem and can’t make sense of it. Image is correct size and should show up. Not impressed.

  • Hello,

can you please give the link to your site so that i can help you regarding that.

    Thank you.

Header Image in customizer is just for the background area in header. To use image in header like demo you should use Banner widget position.

    The website is https://www.childspacepenticton.com.

Under customize – Banner Header it says “While you can crop images to your liking after clicking Add new image, your theme recommends a header size of 2560 × 500 pixels.” This sounds like the Banner Header, not a background image.

Why would you make the design so confusing and require a widget?

Agreed header image should be header background and we will make sure that text is improved in next update.

We’ve added banner widget to make it a bit flexible as in widget many things can be used like Banner, SlideShow, Slider or even Google Map so that area is widgetized .

I’m having the same issue. Header is good on safari & chrome but very oversized on ie and firefox. site is jessicagottlieb.com

Apologies, mine is the logo that’s not sizing well. Will start a new question.

I am having the same problem with this theme. I wanted to add a slider to the header, and I see the widget option for banner wide, but I don’t have the option to add an image in that section.

I am very new to WordPress, but I’ve been developing HTML/PHP based websites for years, so I am familiar with coding, etc.

Can you help me figure out how to setup the slider image as a widget?

You need to use slider widget at Banner widget position not in header image of customizer.

    hello,
I have the same problem but do not have any slider or image widgets to add to the banner wide. ??? Why not? What do I have to do?

    Thanks….

    Hi Mangoverde,

You can add the image directly via the code or use the jetpack image widget.

    Thanks
