    Hello,
I’ve been unable to load images for well over a month. I’ve tried deactivating plugins. I’ve also asked a local computer business (the folks who originally set me up) and they can’t solve it either. I get constant http errors and gray files. Older images will insert, but how do I get my new work into the site? I do not have anything called WPML. Please help. Right now this site is useless for displaying our newest pottery.

  • Hi,

with ftp check if wp-content/uploads have right permission (by default 755).
You did not post some details about errors, so can not help you more. You can try to contact also your hosting for help.

    Thanks so much Peter,
Now I’m going to sound rather dumb here, but I’ve looked into my settings and I just don’t seem to know where to find out where to look for the wp-content/uploads. I’ve contacted my host, and they are running into the same issue. They uploaded two images to test, and both of these are simply gray too.

btw. what do you mean by ”gray” ?

Thank you for your advice. My web host has resolved the issue overnight. I’m finally back to being able to get images working.

It’s nice to see the pictures instead of a blank page with tipped down corner–a rather gray and frustrating thing.

I am actually daring to examine things a bit more because of this forum. Thank you.

So probably it was permission problem, anyways cool that its working well now.

Yes, Peter, and thanks again for offering advice. It is just so good to have things working again.
