Hangs new post page in Multisite

Ever since updating to 4.1, every time I tried to create a post on the parent site, the webpage would start to hang (3-4 minutes, then “Internal Server Error”). What was most interesting was the child sites would load without issue. I would get a pingdom alert of it being down, then when I got to posting the article, Pingdom would say its back up.
After some work, I found the social plugin was being problematic. Once I disable the plugin, the hanging goes away. When I put this plugin back in and create another post, the connection gets lost.
I am guessing it has to do with the Admin-ajax.php file, for that is what it hangs on. Since thats a catch-all file, I have not gone past that.
