• Hi Everyone,
I’ve been following lots of discussions here for a while, poking in with a couple of questions here and there.

I’m a freelance writer. Currently, I have a Web site for my articles that is just a few HTML pages linked together. But I’m considering using WordPress to make it more sophisticated.

My site is very preliminary at the moment, but I wanted to show it to you. I’m not looking for opinions on the content itself (although you should feel free to comment if you wish); I’m looking for opinions on whether WordPress would work for what I’m trying to do here.

My goal is to expand the site to include photo galleries, videos, interviews, an SMF-based forum, along with the articles.

Here’s the site (remember, it’s in development):

    Thanks,
    Matthew

  • I helped recently a writer to go from static html to a WP powered site, and I think all that you describd above is doable – with some plugins and additional scripts (gallery, forum). As for the WP part: combining posts in categories and Pages (for more static content) would do an excellent job.

Absolutely. WordPress is right up your alley for this project. It can handle everything you need and do it all pretty well. Handling articles is what WordPress does best.

    thedog writer?ho ho.thedog is beautiful….
