• I’m trying to use iframes, as generated in Amazon Associate code. Problem is, WordPress keeps rewriting the code, and consistently removes the closing tag–which (as the many comments in this forum would lead one to expect) disappears the rest of the blog.

I’ve tried one person’s trick of inserting a no-break space between the opening and closing tags, along with a myriad of other attempts to fool WordPress into keeping its hands off, with no success. It continues to remove the closing tag.

I can’t find a clear statement of which version is installed; I got the 2.03 from the bottom of the dashboard page.

    Any help would be appreciated…

  • Are you putting the code in the template file or in a post?

I’m putting it in a post, and would like to be able to do so throughout the posts…

Well, in that case disable the wysiwyg monster. For good.
If you want to play the “webmastering” game – it’s time to learn some html basics ??
I never use the wysiwyg (most of the titme I delete it) and I can insert any code I want in my posts and pages.

Ah ha. Nice to know that’s possible (yes, I’m really just starting with WordPress!). In fact, I find these interfaces nearly impossible because I *am* used to working in HTML.

However, the actual blog owner is not HTML savvy in the least…I’m just helping her sort this out. Will it be possible to disable the wysiwig for iframe posts and re-enable for her other posts?

Oops, never mind–in hunting up how to dump wysiwyg, I figured that one out…

    Thank you!
