Show by Tag in widget not working

    Hi

    I’m trying to Show by tag in a widget but it doesn’t seem to be working.

    I have done the following:

    1. Add Event List
    2. Click in visibility
    3. Selected – Show if Tag is Max Meditation
    4. Save
    5. In a couple of the events i have added the tag Max Meditation

    On the page it shows – This is a Widget Section…
    If i remove the Show by it will show the event list but trying to use visibility seems to break it?

    Howdy afnguyen,

    It sounds like some, or perhaps all, of the features you have mentioned are not part of The Events Calendar. And likely come from your theme, or perhaps another plugin. Either way my unfamiliarity with these features means there is almost nothing I can do to help you troubleshoot them. After all it is neigh impossible to troubleshoot something you know nothing about.

    Perhaps if you could clarify. Or maybe open up a support topic in a forum more relevant to those features.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response but i m not sure i understand.

    I am using The events Calendar and from the widget page i have added events list which brings up a list of the events I have added, however i want to limit the list to ones which are set to a specific category or tag so for example i have created the tag Max Meditation and the Category Max Meditation.
    When i click on visibility i have the option to show if…
    Category is (and i have the option of All category Pages or Uncategorized)

    so i tried to use..

    Tag is (and i had the option of adding Max meditation) however when i select this the widget doesn t work.

    Is there a way of just showing a list of the events in a certain category or with a certain tag (whichever is easiest)?

    I am sorry I did misunderstand you. Yes if you have the PRO addon that is a feature of our plugin.

    I just tested that feature myself, and it is something we test every release. It is working great for me, and filtering by the tag. If you have upcoming events with that Tag then they should appear. If they are not, or the widget is generating an error, then it seems like a conflict is happening. You can test for those by following this guide: Test For Conflicts
