    Hello

I’m a student and a few weeks ago, i made a mockup (im not sure about the word, i mean i made a web page but only as an image, with photoshop etc..)

Now im asked to convert it in an actual website using wordpress.

My knowledges are limited since i only know html/css , i barely understand php. Still, i think i could do everything correctly with this. Unfortunatly my teachers want me to do it through wordpress.

I know WP is supposed to make everything easier but in my case, it’s a pain in the a**. Looking for a menu , for hours, that will look CLOSE of the one i want (the one i could write code in like 5 min) is a concept i dont understand. But anyway…

What im trying to do is a “gallery” or a “mosaic” , which would BE my homepage menu. I guess you noticed i have troubles to say things clearly in english so i put a link for another page, which is very similar of what im trying to do :

    https://www.casalgarcia.com/

A simple page with header/footer very classic, and in the middle , squares-links to other pages containing images or just a background color.

I’m not asking the exact process i just wonder what is the classic way to do this? A plug in? A “do it full html/css first and then, read tutos about how to add a html page in wordpress”? Other ideas?
If you have any, just write them down, even in 3 words, i will search, i have a good capacity of watching tutos and searching on internet, but im just lost now and i have no idea anymore of what to search/learn.

Thanx a lot and sorry for long post which must be full of weird words and language mistakes.

  • Hi

I think you can simply create page and with editor just upload – add there pictures and set up is, that pictures links to another page.

    Hello

Just for you know that i finally managed to do what i wanted.

So i just recreated the website in a simply way in html/css without thinking about wordpress at all.

Then i installed a blank theme and followed the instructions of his explanation video : html5blanktheme.

It works fine except a few things that will required their own posts on forum.

See you soon then, thx Peter for answearing.
