WordPress Files are saved as internet (.xml) and itunes (.ipa) files??

  • (NB: I’m pretty new on the wordpress scene so bear with me)

    I’m trying to create a child theme but while searching for my wordpress file I found that it has saved as an .xml and also as an .ipa file. I have no other files called wordpress. Any clues what this is about and how to fix it?
    should i just download wp again or will that delete my website?

    The WordPress files you need to work with are on your web server, not your local computer. You don’t need to install or download WordPress to your local computer.

    Make sure that you’re working with the files on the web server by accessing your server via FTP or SFTP.
