A beginner needs help.

Hello everyone,
I did find a couple of discussions about this subject however, they were quite old. The newest being 6 months old. I am hoping someone has since come up with an answer that is simple and to the point. I would like to have control over what fonts I use, especially in my pages, but in the blog posts, also. Is there a way to tell the app which font I want to use, or what color I want it to be? If so, will it require that I be well educated in CSS and HTML5? I am learning but am still at the novice/beginner stage.
