• Yes I am brand new at this, but I have gone through the FAQ’s for scan not starting and for scan not finishing, and still can’t figure out what to do. When I push the scan start button, I see the red box that says Wordfence is working for about 3 seconds, then nothing else, ever. I have changed the max time to 15 seconds, and still the same result. The tough part is that with no message (other than confirmation that I have killed a running scan when I am ready to try again) its hard to figure out what to try next. Please help…

    Can you try setting that value to 30 instead of 15? Also, make sure memory requested is set to 128mb. Let me know if this helps.

    That seemed to allow it to try longer, but after 26 seconds, the “working” box would go away and nothing else would happen. bumped it up to 45 seconds, and that dropped the scan attempt back down to about three seconds. For what it is worth, the real time site visits are working correctly, as are the notifications when I log into my admin page. Just can’t get the scan working.

    Ok. Set it back to 30 (more is not necessarily better. Its just finding the sweet spot for your site/hosting/etc). Lets try opening the java console on the scan page and seeing if there are any errors. If you have some, try setting the option for “start scans remotely” on the options page.
