• hi,

I can’t upload photos to put them in to my posting. I simple don’t have a upload button on the “write” page.

Not sure if this has something with non appearing upload button but if I press “Upload” under “Manage/Upload” I get an 500 error.

“Internal Server Error (HTTP error 500)
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request….

    Can anybody help?

    Thanks
    Frank

  • Same here. I upgraded 3 blogs to WordPress 2.2 and on each the upload dialog has gone missing.

Just wondering, why is this topic marked “is not a support question”?

the first thing I would be looking at is making sure you have uploaded ALL the files to your wp-admin directory properly.

the second thing I would look at is your Apache error log. its there, and checkable, if you have cpanel available.

Because that’s the option (default) that the topic creator selected when starting this thread.

Thanks everyone for their input. I found out it was a plugin (Flickr Photo Album by Joe Tan) that was causing the problem.

I should have checked the plugins first. Sorry but I hope it helps others with the same problem

Thanks for the tip about the plugin – I don’t know which one ruined my post page exactly but it must have been one of the category cloud plugins I was trying out.
