Adding one traditional social media link

    Just found your plugin & am thrilled!

    I would like to add one direct link/user id to my facebook page that corresponds to my website. I’d like to keep the other icons as is without needing a user id for them. Is this possible?

    I am currently using a different plugin to facebook just to have that linkage but it requires user ids for the other social media links in order for those to be active.

    I would prefer to use only one plugin instead of two for this & I do prefer the simplicity of yours.

    I am trying to make sure I understand your request. Are you saying:

    A. You would like to be able to add your own custom link to the available links outside of the 6 that come with the plugin?

    B. You want to define the actual share link on the currently available service links?

    C. Something else.

    I’m sorry I wasn’t clear.

    I would like to define the share link on just the facebook icon so that it is linked to my site’s facebook page & any likes made on my site would also be counted on my website facebook page (& vice versa).

    The plugin I use at the moment for my facebook linkage will do this via my facebook page’s id number. It requires a user id (like an account number/url) to specific accounts to active the share icons. It won’t allow blank, generic login. So, for example, I would need to make a google+ account for my site in order to use the google+ share icon.

    I don’t want to have to maintain so many social media accounts specific to my site right now (in order to have user ids to enter), just a facebook one. But I would like to be able to have my visitors share my site pages & posts with those other ones.

    If this is possible, I will likely stop using the other plugin entirely.

    So, you are saying that you want to have a user share your facebook page on their facebook page when clicking the fb icon on your wordpress site?

    Yes, thank you. Just for facebook.
    I would like to keep the other icons as is.

    GoldHatTrick,

    This will be a relatively large update to the SMS plugin and was considered during the original build. Having said that, your request will be met, however I do not have a timeline quite yet. I would guess in the next couple of weeks it should be completed.
