Html Front Page

  • Hello. I have a wordpress web site and I need a front page before the main page opening. This front page is html. There will be some text and a svg in the front html page. I will put there a button “go to site” and after clicking it will go to main page. How can I do that?

  • Create a page template for your home page that gives you the layout you want. Then add your text and image to that page.

    Then under Settings -> Reading set Front Page displays to Static Page, and for Front Page select the page you set up for the home page.

    Hello again. I created my “front page” and I set Front Page to display Static Page but for front page, my page doesnt appear in the list. There are only wp pages which I created before.

    What if I change the “Site Address (URL)” under the general settings? I m scared to change it.

    Make sure you created the home page as a page and not a post. Otherwise it should show up in the list of pages.
