Hi Berndderbernd. The style you have will work. It’s being overridden by a color style so can either use the !important rule:

#header {
  background: transparent !important;
  }

Or target it more specifically:

header#header {
  background: transparent;
  }

You might also want to add this to remove the boxed layout shadows displayed on either side of the header:
