i know this probably isn’t a wordpress question, but ya’ll are smarter than me, so here goes.

i changed the major directory of my wordpress install following the instructions in the Codex and it all works just fine. however, i left an auto-redirect in the old directory for folks who have bookmarked that address. it works in IE, Opera, and Flock, but it finds some kind of repetative loop in Firefox and just has a seizure between the two URL’s. ????

    https://www.texas-fire.com/news (is the old one)

https://www.texas-fire.com (is the more gooder one)

  • I dont have a problem w/ the first one in firefox 2.0.0.3,

Redirects inside an .htaccess aren’t really going to affect browsers differently, unless, of course, you’re redirecting based on something browser related.

Just an fyi too, since you happened to mention it’s not really a wp question (actually it is, sorta) but if you ever wonder where to put off-topic questions, there is always the misc. section.
