Combine posts, notifications and likes

  • Hello everyone,
    I am new to wordpress and buddypress and make a little POC in my Company.
    Now I was asked to find a solution to combine the post, notifications, likes and whatever the system else want to give me into one information box.
    how wold you to this? is this more like modifing a theme or using a plugin?
