Moving to a new host

  • Hi, everybody:

    I’ve had some issues with the current web host for my WordPress site, and I’d like to plan on changing over to a different host before my current term expires at the beginning of February. My question is basic but also broad: how do I do that? I am mildly technically illiterate, so a blow-by-blow tutorial you can link me to would be very helpful.

    As an aside, if you have any suggestions for a host of decent price and quality, I’m open to those suggestions too!

  • Hey Evan, I completely understand your situation having been in a similar one myself before. WordPress offers this great resource for helping you move your website here. It essentially involves backing up your current site, installing WordPress on your new host, and restoring the WordPress installation from your backup.

    As for suggestions on where to host your new www.remarpro.com installation, WordPress offers a few recommendations that you may find useful here.

    Alternatively you could try Duplicator plugin which is super-easy to use.
