Moving images to a new folder still breaks links

  • Unfortunately this plugin still does not work correctly. Moving an image or file does not update the link on the webpage. To fix it I have to manually re-insert the image. When I first installed this plugin last year I created lots of new folders in order to have my images organized. I followed the instructions correctly.
    Now I am stuck with a plugin that doesnt work as promised. I am affraid that if I remove the plugin ALL the links to my images on the site will be broken, which means I would have to completely rebuild my website.

  • Don’t worry Dim67. As far as I am aware, uninstalling this plugin won’t do any harm to your images or posts. It updates DB links permanently so they work regardless plugin presence.

    There are situations, when it won’t update links i.e. it happens in widgets when you use image URI. You have to update it manually. It looks like plugin searches posts and pages only after image relocation.
