How to update MySQL version?

  • The latest version of XAMPP includes MySql version 5.6.21

    The latest version of MySql is 5.6.22.

    Is it really necessary to update to the latest MySql? Perhaps updating to the latest XAMPP would be easier?

    I don’t think you need anything from the link you provided. I’ve been developing WP plugins and themes for a while.. and never needed any of those extensions.

    I’d like to give it a shot Josh. WP is an incredible CMS, and I currently have two WP powered sites with a couple of different hosts. The more involved I become, all the more addicted…

    Hahaha… yep.. I kinda wish I could go back and experience it all again for the first time.

    The thing about WordPress.. the more I learn… the more I realize I don’t know. And THAT is what makes it such a fun and powerful system.
