"The plugin does not have a valid header"eror

  • I am using WP in Mac system through XAMPP
    I’ve never used WP before. Today I installed it successfully but when I tried to install themes and plugins, I got problems.

    1.I try to download a theme. It shows that the theme has been installed successfully,but when I chick “Live Preview” it shows me “cheatin’ uh?”. Same situation when I chick “Activate”.

    2.When I try to install plugins from WP, it shows I’ve installed the plugin successfully,but when I click ”Activate Plugin” ,I am getting the error ” The plugin does not have a valid header”. And I try to go back and reinstall it, it shows it’s already exists. I checked the files, I don’t see the plugin is exists. I don’t see the plugins in WP either.

    Anyone has any idea how to fix it?

  • 1) what happens when you ACTIVATE the theme and go view the front page?
    2) what plugin are you having issues with?
