• Hi,

I’ve have just developed my mini-CMS, and I’m now looking for a news publishing system. I deciding between using wordpress, cutenews or writing my own minimal (but at least streamlined with my CMS) script. Now, I haven’t really setup wordpress, and I’ve looked around the FAQs (but it seems buried somewhere in everything), so I’ll just ask here. My question is: how do I integrate wordpress into my CMS as I want to use it only for news publishing (ie. on the news page only)? I’ve seen the tutorial for making custom themes and all that, but there’s all this WordPress jargon I can’t figure out. Is it really so much work to integrate wordpress into my design (rather than design a theme for it)? Webmasters, what do you do?

Thanks! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers, Pristine

  • IMHO use CuteNews for that.

Lol. Alrighty, although I think I might just explore WP for a bit. Thanks!

WordPress is a CMS in itself, so to try and integrate it into another CMS doesn’t make a lot of sense. As fas as I’m converned, you have a couple of options:

    1. Drop your home-brewed CMS and use WP for everything.
    2. Keep your home-brewed Cms but write news module for it.
