Comments per page working funny

  • Since about a week ago I noticed that some posts have wrong number of comments. I set the global settings to 10 comments per page but on some posts it only works from the second page. On the first page I see sometimes 2 comments sometimes 4…
    There is no plugin that could have messed it up. But I must admit that I played with these settings many times (show newer posts first, show last/first page…) also I played with the depth of concatenated comments.
    I don’t have any clue what caused it but I’m really stuck here! I have posts with over 600 comments, I can’t possibly show all of them because of the site getting too heavy and I can’t let only 2 posts be seen – it’s insulting.

    Even if you don’t think it’s a conflicting plugin, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue.
