needed: Collaborative Blogging, create projects and portfolio plugin

Hello everybody,

I am looking for one or more plugins which allows the following things:

(1) A registered user (‘authors’) can create an own blog project, either alone or with other registered users and post articles (text and photos) refering to this project only. All the articles of different authours will be shown on the main website.

(2) Registered users can create their own portfolio (photos) by uploading their photos via front-end. Furthermore have their own profile page (names, experience, referencese etc.)

All I found was Buddypress, BuddyForms and maybe the solution of using WP-Front-End… But I am not sure if it will work since there are no samples… At least I didnt find any. And I am not even sure if Buddypress pages are customatizable… Because there was a premium theme which portfolio sample looked awesome and I do not want the buddypress default look.

Help is greatly appreciated.
