The initial position of the navigation bar cannot be modified by default. It is set in navigation.js, in the siteLayout function.

Basically I want it to look like all the other pages not the index with large photo, how would i go around that?

The large front page image is built into the theme. If you’re seeking a similar look, but without the splash image, you might try the Beluga theme.

how do i make it say 50% of the size it is i like that look just need it half or a third of the size

Again, you’d have to look at navigation.js in the theme.
