Stripping html formatting & CSS changes don't show
-
I am NEW at WordPress and I don’t understand PHP. It appears I don’t have a c-panel available on my website through GoDaddy.
As per tutorials, I chose a free theme, and created a child theme based on it using Child Theme Configurator.
I am using SiteOrigin Page Builder which may be the problem.I have had many problems so far with my changes showing up.
First: I tried adding a table but WP would strip out my formatting. Threads here suggest that changing between the visual and text editor was a no-no which is ridiculous to me. But, it certainly doesn’t do html like I would expect. So this means I have no way of reliably customizing the html on pages and posts. If I am wrong, please provide a link that I can understand without changing PHP.Secondly: Using Child Theme Configurator, I am unable to achieve the changes to the CSS. One item did change, but the others did not.
This is the website:
https://temperature-data-logger.com/I would include the CSS child theme code, but I don’t understand the “backticks” directive.
Thanks, Denise
I tried searching for relevant thread, but they are very old or full of PHP coding.
