Access Token vs API Key?

My company is trying Bruteprotect as the first step in our struggle with DDoS attacks.
Setup went great and everything works for me. However, when my IT director logs in it asks for his Access Token. Does he need to create a new access token for himself? Will that work with the API Key that I created? I’m confused because it only asks me for the API Key.
