    you can try to use shortcode events_list

    like

    – the shortcode below will list the last recurring event
    [events_list order=”DESC” orderby=”event_start_date” limit=1 recurrence=”X”] where x is the recurring event id at events > recurring event

    – the shortcode below will list the first recurring event
    [events_list order=”ASC” orderby=”event_start_date” limit=1 recurrence=”X”] where x is the recurring event id at events > recurring event
