Authors not displaying an author with 1 post

  • I’m having a problem with an author on my blog. I’ve created him (along with a couple other authors) and set him as the author of a post.

    The issue is in two places:
    1. When i am on the ‘Users’ tab in the admin, it lists the authors and the posts they own. It states that this author isn’t the author of any posts. However, when I go to ‘Manage’ I can see a post where he is set as the author.

    2. On the blog itself, ‘wp_list_authors’ ignores him.

    If I set more this author as an author to another post (ie, so he’s the author of more than 1 post) the problem is fixed.

    I’ve created another author and similar issues are still happening.

    Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions?

  • On a 2.1.3 test blog, I took a post written by the administrator, edited that post and changed the Author to a user of the author role and the count of posts for the admin user was decreased by one and the count of posts for the author user showed one (1).

    Please note I viewed the counts via the admin, Authors & Users panel.
