To use Share on Social with Facebook and Google Plus, you need to create App ID which allows API access between your site and FB or Google+.

Please refer Create Facebook and Goolge App ID to do that. Once Apps are created, enter the App ID in Settings menu of Share on Social. This will enable Facebook and Google Plus share buttons as shown in the plugin demo.

That’s the problem, too many steps.

Light Weight Endorsements such as Facebook Likes and Google Plus Ones doesn’t require App ID.

However, if site owners prefer to showcase their blogs through heavy endorsement with FB, GPlus Interactive Posts on users’ social Wall, then they have to take little bit of pain and configure FB App ID and Google+ client ID for their site.

When compared to number of steps involved in setting up and managing a blog site, configuring these apps are quite easy.

    Anyway, choice is theirs.

“The problem”, mythusmage, is the fact that you’re an [ profanity redacted ]. You still haven’t learned that you shouldn’t abuse people that volunteer their time in a way that inures to your benefit.

I’m going to continue to follow your trail and call you out for the [ also redacted ] you are wherever you go.

Keep it up, champ. Maybe one day you’ll learn to engage people in a mutually respectful way that acknowledges the fact that you provide absolutely nothing to the community, and only detract from it.

@maithilish – don’t be sorry. Trust me, this clown not using your stuff is absolutely the best thing that could happen to you. He’s been going around harassing and abusing devs on a number of different plugins because he’s an ignorant buffoon who doesn’t realize he’s technically illiterate. Unfortunately, his lack of self-awareness also fuels his caustic attitude.

Ignorance is bliss, as they say – except for everyone else.

maithilish Please excuse me while I go off topic.

    From the top:

@etcio That’s really not necessary and other authors can take care of themselves. Please refrain from personal attacks; they don’t do anyone any good and you do not need to follow around anyone you don’t like. Really, don’t.

@mythusmage Please consider that honey works better than vinegar. Gosh knows, I like to use colorful expressions but try and keep it pleasant OK?

@jdembowski – This just isn’t about abrasiveness. He has a history of going through, and casting punitive 1-star reviews of plugins all predicated on a false basis, and consistently abused the devs (ourselves included). Since you’re a mod, how else do you suggest dealing with these types of individuals that are ultimately destructive to the community, and drive away devs? (This all stemmed from a back channel complaint from a fellow dev).

This isn’t about like or not like at all.

@jan; point taken, I shall mind my manners.
