Hi, my hosting blocks port 465, but 587 is open , and i believe is the correct port to use for mail?
    Can sendPress use port 587??

    Wikipedia says…
“In 2014, many services continue to offer the deprecated SMTPS interface on port 465 in addition to (or instead of) the RFC-compliant message submission interface on the port 587 defined by RFC 6409”

    Thanks
    Chris

We support lots of different sending options in our pro version including custom SMTP which allows specifying other servers and ports. We also support several API sending methods that don’t use SMTP at all such as Mandrill and Amazon SES. Those are generally faster and less prone to interference by the hosting provider.
