I’m using the older plugin on a current site and have been really happy with it. I’m developing a new sports site and am having trouble with this new version – the games aren’t in ascending order, they seem to be random. Is there a setting I’m missing?

Also, there aren’t many shortcode examples. Are they somewhere that I’m missing? On the other website I had to add “first_dtg=”2014-012-01″ last_dtg=”2016-12-30 21:01:00” (at your suggestion, thanks) or older games would disappear from the schedule. Are these listed somewhere?

    thanks –
    Julie

I also had issues upon deleting a game – which gave a ‘invalid referrer’ message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, but the games are still randomly listed. I also tried another install on two different domains and both threw errors – I had to manually delete the plugin from both servers. The errors were with regards to ‘includes/mstw-ss-schedule-widget.php’ and ‘mstw-ss-cdt-widget.php’, with the fatal error: ‘Class ‘mstw_ss_sched_widget’ not found in —– wordpress/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 411′

Normally I avoid new plugins, but the client needs this site done within a week or so. Are there changes in the works or do you have any suggestions? Otherwise I may need to find another solution, which would be a bummer.

    thank you,
    Julie

    Hi Julie,
Thanks for the input and sorry for the delayed response … the holidays seem to happen every year around this time. ?? Let’s see if I can help you with some of these, some are a bit puzzling at first glance …

All the parameters for the schedule shortcodes should be unchanged. Some examples are available on the MSTW Plugin dev site. They are not as extensive (or wild) as for Game Schedules, but I will update them over time. I will check the start and end DTGs first on the list.

I have not experienced problems with chronological order. That’s been tested pretty thoroughly, so I’m not sure what’s up. Weird. Maybe you could send me a link from your site and the arguments you used.

The ‘invalid referrer’ message on deletes has been corrected in version 1.2, which will be posted in the next day or two, maybe tonite. It did not notice that it caused any DB problems, it was just incorrect and annoying.

I’m certain there are no randomstatements in the code so the Games cannot be ‘randomly listed’. Perhaps they are being listed in the order they were created in the DB? I’ll check this as well. BTW, what versions of WP and PhP are you running?

I’m not sure why it would matter what domain you install on. (??) Given that the widgets were found in some of your installs, I’m pretty sure they are there. I’ve installed on a couple of domains without seeing this issue.

Please let me know where you are at. I’m back on line and will certainly test these issues in my dev environments.

    Regards,

    Mark,

Thanks for getting back to me. After your 1.2 update everything worked! As far as the other two testing servers, I haven’t tried those again since I really didn’t need to.

I like how the schedules/locations was combined on this new version. I haven’t used the scoreboard, but I plan to do that on a tennis website next summer.

    thanks!
