Sorry for being so clueless, this is a really basic question:

Our community-based organization currently has a website hosted by godaddy.com. Say it’s https://www.example.org for example. We’re considering using wordpress for the entire site, not just a blog component (eg using pages).

We would like to use a wordpress template for this as we don’t have expertise to design our own.

Question: Is it possible for us to have the same exact URL and use wordpress (an existing template, if that matters) for the whole site?

That is: I’ve seen some comments in these forums suggesting it would have to look like: https://www.example.org/blog or https://www.example.org/wordpress.

BUT — I’ve seen other comments suggesting people can use wordpress for the whole site so that the main page that someone would get to with https://www.example.org would be a wordpress-run page as would be the whole site.

Could someone please clarify for this newbie? And if there are related questions I should be asking but don’t know to ask, I would appreciate being educated on them and any answers as well. Thanks in advance!

    Michelle
