    Hi

    For some unidentified reason my site is down ! Better said my 4 sites are down and this happened just after the last WP Upgrade. I don’t say this is the reason but …
    I was able to get 3 sites online (asked help for but … well) … So I had to spend 3 days and nights in the help forum and the WP doc to find out the use of the function.php in the /theme/.

    For one site (of course the most important one) nothing to do. I’ve been trying and trying until I decided to replace WP ! /wp-admin/ and /wp-inculde/ killed then replace – the loose files in /wp-content/ to then the renaming -plugins and -theme !

    Again I have access to the dashboard – trougth C Panel MySql I checked inside the DB to check for URLs and did all the tests repair optimize etc and all was 100%

    I then moved to url/wp-admin/upgrade.php and the thing put out “no problem – database up to date” …

    I started to move the plugins from /-plugins/ to /plugins/ and the entire world was like shot down.

    S2 create a fatal error and on 12 plugins 7 are causing troubles …
    Now I don’t know what to do anymore but I am scared I loose all the members because since a week or so I don’t get anymore paypal IPN messages and money.

    please help

  • We don’t really have enough information here to be of much help.

    Do you have any log files? Did you enable logging in s2member?

    Have you talked to your host? It seems likely that the fundamental problem lies with them.

    Do they/you keep backups? Did you enable plugin deletion safeguards in s2Member?

    nothing in the cgi error log
    nothing on the screen either
    when I started to reactive the plugins I had 1/3 gave a fatal error
    most errors I saw where with capabilitie.php
    when I moved the 4 S2 plugins (Framwork – Pro and…) the Sys showed only S2 framwork and when I activated it – fatal error and over.

    I need more advice to pick into the WP – I have backups from the DB no problem but the rest …

    the host checked and

    Sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused you. I have reset the password for the databases and now the websites https://www.timeline.eucmh.com/ , https://www.vintage.eucmh.com/ , https://www.paperless.eucmh.com/ and https://www.photos.eucmh.com/ are loading fine.

    For the website https://www.eucmh.com/index/ , I have added the code “DirectoryIndex index.php” in .htaccess file and now it is working fine.

    Regarding the website https://www.eucmh.com/ , there is no errors generated in CGI error logs. Also, there are no active plugins. I activated the default theme, however the website still loads blank. I have backed up the files and database in folder ‘backup’ of your account root directory. I suggest you to reinstall the application and check the issue.

    If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.

    NOTE that I have now moved https://www.eucmh.com into https://www.members.eucmh.com and I have re-installed the fresh 4.01 in there – I have a dashboard now but …

    As I said, this just isn’t enough information to be able to help you. It sounds like something else went badly wrong with your host, and that it’s still not quite rectified.

    ok I am a step ahead
    I have now control over the site (beside there is a problem with the image that doesn’t shows up)
    I have put the 4 directories (S2) out to the reserve (old-plugins)
    I have added a new theme (wiki WP) this may cause the prob with images but I’ll see that later
    I have installed a plugin ‘maintenance’ to work
    I have installed the S2 Framework and it runs – I have to go pro again but I am scared to kill the infos available on the paying members that are actually in the USERS …

    what can I do ?

    You can export all the user information to a CSV file as a backup. You can always re-import it later.

    Check the CSV file has all the data in it. If so, you can reinstall the Pro module without worrying about losing your users’ info.

    woah
    I just tried to move the old S2 Pro from old-plugins to plugins and site down and white screen ….
    I’ll try to find out how to reinstall a fresh one and let you know
    ??

    That white screen is extremely unlikely to be caused by s2Member.

    It’s much more likely that either you have a space at the beginning or end of a PHP file — have you edited any recently? — or that your site has insufficient memory. How much memory has it got?

    So I am almost happy
    I got two recuring payments from Paypal after I reinstalled S2 Pro
    I am breathing again …
    I am not sure that the thing is working 100% but all seems to be like before and I will wait a little for someone to test it from the outside

    I have found the problem with the photos :(((( and if there is not something to automate this I will have to go trough 2009-2014 because the call for every photos is http … eucmh.com and the site is now http … members.eucmh.com …

    I have also another unidentified problem inside the DB and a plugin that is going crazy … Paypal Link Sale …
    It says that the DB doesn’t exist $ipn and pplorders … I have checked and have finaly removed the 2 keys – I reinstalled the plugin, the 2 keys where re-created but the plugin keep saying no database …

    I am willing to turn the maintenance mode off and see what happen because the things is a little strange …

    the site is into a subdirectory of eucmh

    https://www.members.eucmh.com and not https://www.eucmh.com/members

    $post_type = get_post_type_object( $post->post_type );
    if ( ! $post_type->map_meta_cap ) {
    $caps[] = $post_type->cap->$cap;

    if ( ‘read_post’ == $cap )
    $cap = $post_type->cap->$cap;

    ???

    You are posting on the wrong forum. This is nothing to do with s2Member.

    I thought it has with S2 when I saw “capabilities.php” …
