    1. don’t worry about it
    2. They compress with minimal loss of quality, which is generally not noticable. That is different than lossless compression, which is pixel-perfect reduction. Also, lossy JPG can’t be enabled by default because it requires a subscription to use.
    3. Did you actually get a notice that you needed to change permissions?

    You should really watch the videos on the Installation page if you are that confused.
