    Hello,

I looked into this, and qTranslate is not compatible with newer versions of WordPress.

There is an updated version called qTranslate Plus. Everything seems to work using this plugin; the [content] shortcode displays content that only matches the current language.

    Hello Eliot,
I use qTranslate Plus, and in my site https://www.cooltivo.pt/noticias I have putted the shortcode [content id=140] to display content of post id=140.

It shows in fact the post, but in both languages available (pt and en) no matter what language is choosen. It does not choose only the current language for post.

    Thanks for your help

Thank you for the link to the site – I see what you mean, the post is displayed in both languages, regardless of the language chosen.

I actually started on a parameter for [content] to choose the language, where lang=”this” will specifically get qTranslate to return the current language and the right content. I didn’t include it in the last update, since the content was filtered without it (for me). I’ll finish writing it and include in the next update, so you can try it. I’ll let you know when it’ ready.

OK, in the latest update, the content shortcode should return only the translated result if qTranslate Plus is active. If that doesn’t work, it may be due to the settings for qTranslate.
