• After setting up the plugin when a language is selected the backend appears to be fine although on frontend an error is thrown and following content is not rendered neither in the selected language nor in default language.

Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Post could not be converted to string in D:\inetpub\vhosts\a—-a.com\WPDev-1\wp-content\plugins\qtranslate\qtranslate_core.php on line 455

  • Sonal, see this page for a way to fix this. It seems like the qTranslate author is unresponsive to support requests and attempts to contact him. Editing the plugin files for now seems to be the only sensible fix. Long term it’s probably wise to move to something else.

Thank you so much for the link !! ??

mqTranslate is a compatible fork from qTranslate. The developer is working on it actively. I use it with little issues.

I also suggest to move to mqTranslate it’s more actively updated and if you don’t use woocommerce don’t have any issue. Just deactivate qTranslate and install mqTranslate. I also use it with woocommerce.

Thanks for suggestions, it seems to be the only free multilanguage plugin that is compatible with actual version of WordPress.

I want to add Ukrainian language to it, but there are no corresponding .mo and .po files in language directory.

So I’d like to know how to make them ??

Is mqTranslate fork of qTranslate or completely new plugin?
As it seems qTranslate is dead ??

@mladenpetr your question is already answered above.
