When using URL Variable, the page breaks

I have added a URL Variable to my page to try to capture data from another page. The page looks something like this https://myurl.com/morinformation/?plan=myplan. When doing this, I get an error on the page that the page doesn’t exist. When I remove the variable, it works fine. The variables work fine on pages that do not use contact-form-7 so I know it has something to do with the form. Any ideas?
