Locked out of site, failed login attempts

    Have been having an issue in the last two weeks at our site, https://www.crackfoxbar.com, with getting locked out due to “failed login attempts”. At first, I thought it was happening while editing pages, but it has done the same when updating events or anything on the site, for that matter.

    Do you use a particular plugin to limit login attempts? If so, what is it? Most security plugins come with an option to whitelist a domain, which can usually done through phpMyAdmin manually, e.g. when there is no other way to fix it.

    Alternatively, you should be able to disable it and get in that way.

    Left this alone for a bit as I was able to log in from another computer and all seemed fine after I was able to re-install WP. However, when on my home computer, the same issue kept happening. I do not use any plugin to limit attempts, and have contacted my hosting provider. According to them, wp-login is tripping mod security. They have stated whitelisting is not advisable.
