• Hello!!

This is my first website and I choosed WordPress. I’ve build all the website, done everything I thinked has to be done but now I have got a big problem: too slow.

These are actually the stats for the homepage:
    Pingdom: Perf. grade 73/100 – Requests 68 – Page size 2.1MB
Gtmetrix: Page Speed Grade A – YSlow Grade B – Page load time: 6.03s – Total page size: 2.13MB – Total number of requests: 70
Webpagetest: C First Byte Time – C Keep-alive Enabled – A Compress Transfer – N/A Compress Images – F Cache static content – yes Effective use of CDN

Could you please give me some advice?

    Thanks

  • Seems like you have a lot of things (like requests) going on there and a relatively large page size. Do you have lots of images, plugins, or scripts running? You should probably deactivate anything you aren’t using, and even uninstall the plugins or scripts you’re not using.

Also, be sure to reduce or compress the file size of your images. If using Photoshop, “Save for Web and Devices…” when you save things. Or, for a good WP plugin to compress things, try WP Smushit.

    Hello,

thank you for the links. I alredy read the first one, was in my bookmarks. The last seems nice made, will read it!
In the 1. in mention that CloudFlare is perfect with W3TC. I have setted up MaxCDN now. Should I change to CloudFlare Free?

    I actually have this situation:
    Bought Theme
    W3TC
    WP-Optimize
    MaxCDN
    Smushed images

How could I know if it is a hosting problem?
