Privacy and cookiepolicy

    I have made a page where users can view my privacy and cookiepolicy. But when you hit the button “Read more” you get this error-message:

    “Oops! That page can’t be found.
    It looks like nothing was found at this location. Perhaps you can return back to the site’s homepage and see if you can find what you are looking for. Or, you can try finding it by using the search form below.”

    I added this new page under Cookie Law add new. How do I activate this sub-page?

    I’m not sure if you mean that you created a wordpress page or you created an entry in cookie aw info (a custom post)? You need to create a WP page.

    Assuming you did create a page, on the page edit screen, click ‘view’ and make sure the URL is valid. Now copy and paste that into the Cookie Law Info URL field. You can also try resetting the permalinks- to do that just go to Settings/Permalinks then just click ‘save’ (don’t change anything).

    I’m having similar problems.

    Under cookie law info, I have created a page called Privacy and Cookie Policy (N.B. I have copied the URL from this page and entered it into the field called ‘Link URL’ – below the link text – read more). I’m unsure what to enter on this page – so I have just entered (cookie_audit).

    When i press the read more button (on the homepage) it shows no Results found.

    Did you try the steps I mentioned above, in particular making sure the URL is valid by linking to it? Post the link here just to be sure, and also a link to your site (with Cookie Law Info enabled so I can see what’s up). Should be able to tell you what’s wrong fairly instantly.     but it is not loading any text.

    Also I am unsure what the cookie law info section is for.

    Sorry to be such a numpty with all this!! I will have a good read up on your guide but if you could just check what i’ve done so far that would be very much appreciated.

    Just one further query Richard, how do they opt out from Cookies. Do I need to provide a button next to ‘read more ‘
