Push notifications to page or table.

  • Hi all,

    ?Does exist some plugin or similar in order to send push notifications to a wordpress page ?

    Imagine that you would like to inform the visitors of your website in real time about some news, or do the tracking in a wp page or wp table of some stock narket changes during a trading session, where you were able to do some comments in that page or table during the whole stock market session, and all those comments per day were reflected all in that page or table.

    It depends on how those push notifications would be generated. You could pretty simply pull in an RSS feed of the news or stock market changes.

    Or are you thinking about some other kinds of notifications?

    Yes this could be an approach, and the other one we are thinking is ti have a webpage where …

    …If we were following the Germán index DAX for instante, we would gather there all the comments for a week or for an intraday session, for example:

    (09.30h) short in Dax @ 10000, stop 10050.
    (10,50h) please watch the ZEW at 11.00h, it will surely move the DAX índex.
    (16,30h). Closed DAX short @ 9920. +70 Points profit.
    (16,35h) we close the trading session in DAX as it won’t probably move much more today.

    …

    That is an example of out idea of the push service or stream service we would like to add to our site.

    And we would like yo know the best options to get IT working.

    What about something like using ifttt.com to send a text that would create a post in WordPress?

    I will ckeck it out, thanks a lot, Bet. I don′t know if it is free or not.

    If you know other solutions, please let me know. It would be great to know several possibilities before choosing one.

    No, I am looking for some other responses or possibilities…

    We are working on the idea in this page:

    As you can see there is an operation on DAX today, and below all the comments while the operation is opened till the moment we close the operation at market.

    What I would like is to get all that, but better ordered and cleaner.Maybe by using some kind of CustomFields in a post like:
    Time: 22:13
    Comment: blablablabla
    In order to have a page the most ordered and cleaner as possible.

    Finally, a mean to add comments to a post in realtime, and that all the info is well reflected in the page, and very readable for the users.
