I’ve a multiuser site. I think it’s an important feature to add in the user profiles the possibility to introduce twitter, facebook and google+ so that themes can use that data and plugin to notify the user posts in their social.

    What do you think about?
Do you think to add a similar feature?

Probably the better way is that wp add directly them and delete the old fields AIM, Yahoo IM, Jabber / Google Talk

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

The old AIM, Yahoo IM, Jabber, and Google Talk fields were removed from all new WordPress installations 2 years ago (see this ticket).

We’ve developed a theme tool named Social Links that does something similar: once you’ve connected your site to some of your social network profiles thanks to Publicize, themes are able to use that data to create social buttons, for example.

    I hope this helps.

You are right, I upgrade my wp and I saw a user more old so it has these fields.

I use Publicize by admin for all the post of the web. Can every user use a publicize only for its posts?

    Will Twenty Fifteen use it?

Yes, when connecting your account to one of your Social Network profiles, you can choose to share that connection with all authors on the site, or only have it for your own account, and your own posts.

Twenty Fifteen won’t use Jetpack Social Links: it includes a Social Menu that you can fill under Appearance > Menus in your dashboard.

If you’d like to add Jetpack Social Links to a theme, you can follow the instructions here:
