Any bugs in customizr 3.2.8?

in v3.2.8 there are two reported issues that might impact you :
1) if you are using a version of php less than 5.2.0, you might get a warning message because the theme uses a DateTime function introduced in php 5.2.0.
2) the translation string are not all up to date, in particular for the post metas

Excuse my ignorance, how do I know if I am using php less that 5.2.0? I am using WP 4.0.1

Also, all my website and post metas are in English, so I do not expect to have issues here, right?

php version : very simple, there’s a “system infos” box included in the theme.
In your WP-admin, navigate to Appearance > About Customizr, then go down to the bottom of the page and you’ll find various informations I may sometimes ask for support, including your server’s php version.

Nikeo, the theme is fantastic! That said, I think I have two bugs for you. When I am on https://demo.themesandco.com/ via an ipad, the WooCommerce dropdown menu item does not drop down to show the subitems, and thus I can’t navigate to it. Also, the action buttons “Just Try It” and “Discover the Features” do not take me anywhere. It is the same on my site as well.

WooCommerce dropdown : is it the my account sub menus that you can’t open ?
Call to action buttons : those are example call to actions, they point to wp-admin/customize.php only for logged in users.

Actually, it is that “Shop”, “Cart”, “My Account”, and “Checkout” do not drop down at all. Clicking (or touching) WooCommerce simply produces no action.

On my site, https://elps.org, it is the “Info” menu item that produces no action.

My buttons on my slider do point to different pages and do work elsewhere (on my desktop and phone.. both windows), just not on my ipad.

This may be just a bug with my ipad (I tried clearing safari’s cache in the ipad but that didn’t help). Can someone test on their ipad and tell me if it’s just me and I’m crazy!

Info menu does not produce a clickable item on my desktop as well.

Check in menus, for instance I Have done this deliberately as the top menus were not able to be clicked on my iPad so I created a custom top menu pointing to https://www.mysite.com/# and moved stuff I wanted to click on below that.

So it looks like this is still the case in latest versions of Customizer so I will leave it.

@jeffjeffbobeff can you try with different borwser on your ipad?

@stellamaris5 : I am not sure to understand your issue : is it that none of your dropdown menus are working with the theme ?

NO only the Top Level menu items, the sub items work. Before I had ‘About’ page active but this was not click able on iPad so I moved the ‘About’ as sub item called ‘About KP’ and madwe the ‘About’ a custom link pointing to natureheals.co.uk/#

Ok @stellamaris5, so if I understand correctly, you need to make top many items always clickable, is that right?
If it is the case, then this should come as an option. It is now in my to do list for v3.2.9.

And this is normal, since he uses a tc-hover menu.
The thing is that when he uses an ipad also tc-open-on-hover menu entries with children are “transformed” into “dropdown on click” entries, due to nikeo check on “wp_is_mobile”, well nic knows what I’m talking about.
This makes sense, and just now I understand it ( sorry nic ?? ), precisely for situations like this. A mobile dev which has a width resolution > 979 px (’cause for them the menu doesn’t become a “mobile” menu), but still they don’t have a “hover” capabilities. This, by the way, has an unwanted side effect: when someone uses the tc-hover menu, and the parent menu entry is a link, transforming it to a dropdown on click makes the linked “page” unreachable.
About the second issue, it can be solved with something like this:

1st click -> dropdown, 2nd click -> go to the linked page.
But the real problem is, why ipad ( or at least jeffjeffbobeff’s ipad ) doesn’t dropdown on click?

I think it confuses users, it did me anyway. when they click on top menu item it expands, they dont expect to click on it again to go to the page.

I think the best solution is to make it non clickable if there are submenus. only if it is there ‘solo’ should it be clickable
