What is the best plugin to back up multisite database?

    I currently have version 3.8.5. What is the best plugin to back up my database for a multisite? I am planning to back up the database and then update my site to the latest version of WordPress.

    I want to do the same thing for my single site. I want to back up my database first and then update my site to the latest version of WordPress.
    The version of WordPress for the single site is 3.5.1

    Don’t use a plugin. Use a full DB tool like PHP MyAdmin. Ask your webhost what they have available if you don’t know.
