Update failed and plugin disappear

    When the plugin disappears, does it still appear on your list of plugins in the plugins menu? If it doesn’t, does it appear in the wp-content/plugins/ folder on your site?

    Jeremy, it does appear on wp-content/plugins/ folder with some files missing. I have seen a message in the plugin list page but could not remember the exact message

    Alright. So it would seem that the update itself went wrong. It can happen when you don’t have much free space left on your hosting plan, or if you hosting provider fails to download the update because of memory limits.

    If this happens on each update, I’d suggest getting in touch with your host about it; they might be able to help you by adding more space or memory on your account, or by raising the size limit of the files you can upload to your site.

    Until then, I’m afraid the safest solution would be to update manually by moving the files via FTP.
