How to add a fill in text box to a page

I am creating a pledge page for a WordPress website and I want to have a text box where you can fill in your name within the actual text, ie. “I, _____ , pledge not to…”

what happens with the text after someone takes action and fills in the “text box”

No, we would compile the list and then put it up on the page ourselves once the pledge has expired.

Yes, I can add plugins to the site

if you add a form plugin and create a form to “fill in” the pledge it will send the whole thing by email to the email address you specify.

there are several form plugins you could use free + paid. most form plugins can handle the simple capture of information that you are aiming form.
