purchaser receives no download link email

    I have just added the Easy Digital Downloads page to my wordpress blog and filled in all the settings. I have just tested out a purchase and all worked perfectly EXCEPT the purchaser did not receive an email with the download link in, only an email from PayPal confirming purchase. Can anyone advise me as to what I have done wrong? My purchased receipt settings currently are
    Dear {name},

    Thank you for your purchase. Please click on the link(s) below to download your files.

    {download_list}

    {sitename}

    and my sale notification settings are

    Hello

    A Downloads purchase has been made.

    Downloads sold:

    {download_list}

    Purchased by: {name}
    Amount: {price}
    Payment Method: {payment_method}

    Thank you

    So, I have not changed anything there from the default.
    But I have received no download email at all. Is there some box I have missed and should have ticked?

    Thanks for the speedy response. I have just tried and enabled IPN and tested out a purchase. No luck. have then disabled IPN PayPal verification and tested out another purchase. No luck. I do not have any of the conflicting plugins. For each of the tested purchases i received PayPal notices but no download email to the purchaser and no sales showing on my Downloads page. Any other suggestions?

    Can you show me your PayPal IPN settings in your PayPal account?

    Here are my IPN settings:
    PayPal sends IPN messages to the URL that you specify below.

    To start receiving IPN messages, enter the notification URL and select Receive IPN messages below. To temporarily stop receiving IPN messages, select Do not receive IPN messages below. PayPal continues to generate and store IPN messages until you select Receive IPN messages again (or turn off IPN).

    Notification URL

    IPN messagesIPN messages
    Receive IPN messages (Enabled)
    Do not receive IPN messages (Disabled)

    and the notification URL is https://www.abear4me.com/?edd-listener=IPN

    In Downloads > Payment History, are the purchased marked as Complete or Pending?

    All payments are marked as pending

    Ok that’s why there is no email. The email is only sent once the purchase is marked as complete.

    That is supposed to happen automatically but something is preventing it.

    In your PayPal account, go to History > IPN History and click on the details for the last purchase that was made. Please then show me a screenshot of that page.
