• I was making a few tweaks to a 2k word post I published yesterday. Adding a Featured Image, adjusting size of placed images, adding a few hyperlinks.

Amazingly, when I click edit from the loaded page (while logged in as admin), an old version of the page is given in the edit page. And this is an OLD version. I made 52 revisions (including tweaks to the page) and three drafts–all the time writing in WordPress. If WordPress fails to preserve the file, all those changes are lost.

Is this a known issue with WP?

I also turned on a Jetpack tool for Markdown. I turned this off again and now the current version is back.

How easy would it be to mistakenly edit this old version and update it. Would it replace the newer version without Error?

I don’t know, but I’m not testing it to find out.

I’m new to WordPress, and this is a real problem to me.
